Built in 1932, by the Marquis of Bute, the Rock Hotel is something of an institution in Gibraltar.  Iconic by its name and location at the foot of the Rock of Gibraltar, with panoramic seaviews, it is suitably reminiscent of a bygone era of genteel mannerisms and culture.  Choose from elegant, updated rooms redesigned in the colonial style that makes this hotel iconic, all with seaviews, many with balconies and others with separate living areas depending upon which room type you opt for.  All rooms feature a/c, cable television, free WiFi, mini-bars, in-room coffee making facilities, fluffy bathrobes and toiletries by Gilchris & Soames.  

Enjoy a delicious lunch, dinner or Sunday Roast at the Terrace Restaurant which is a veritable nod to the glamorous 1940s Savoy Hotel of London with its sophisticated interiors and black and white flooring.  Sit outside on the Wisteria Terrace to enjoy an al-fresco lunch.  Afternoon Tea at the Rock in the beautifully elegant Lobby Lounge.  Served daily between 4-6pm, indulge in finely cut sandwiches with an assortment of fillings, freshly baked tea cakes & pastries, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam and a fresh pot of tea.  In the mood for a celebration?  Add a glass or two of champagne or prosecco whilst taking in the magnificent views over the Straits of Gibraltar.  

The outdoor swimming pool is open from April to October and features a bar and pool menu.  The hotel is situated directly opposite the Alameda Gardens making it the ideal choice for a reception following your outdoor nuptials in the gardens.  No need for wedding transportation as your wedding party can literally access the hotel via a stone staircase from the gardens.  .
