Do you remember the recent nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton? Picture the moment when the soon-to-be Duchess made her entrance at the Church; an avenue of 20-foot tall trees lining the aisle as she gracefully walked towards her waiting Prince...the fragrance of £800,000 worth of flowers entering her nostrils...gosh, it's a miracle the Bride didn't sneeze her way down the aisle!

Now imagine the same scenario but without the decorative trees. Being Kate, she would have still cut a pretty amazing picture but then again, she did get married within the historical four walls of the Westminster Abbey which lends itself to a beautiful backdrop as it is. However, not all of us are lucky enough to be married in such royal surroundings and we need all the help we can get to make a lasting impression for all the right reasons.

Wedding decor enhances the ambience and look of your wedding and gets everyone into the right mood depending upon what your intentions are. For example, if you have flowers and candles, that truly lends to the true essence of an elegant, classy wedding. Structure them for a formal feel or loosely scatter around the venue for a more relaxed ambience. If you want to have brightly coloured balloons and streamers, (and many do), it gives a more informal, fiesta like atmosphere. If you opt for swathes of tulle and ribbon and matching chair covers & bows, it automatically gives a romantic feel to the event. Whatever your choice, dressing your wedding venue forms an important part of your plans and should be something you take into consideration when deciding upon your venue.

Just don't leave it bare whatever you do! You owe it to yourselves, your wedding album and your wedding guests!
